Taonga: the Island Farm is an immersive exploration and adventure game set on a colorful tropical archipelago.
What begins as a casual farming experience gradually evolves into a rich, multi-layered adventure. Players discover increasing depth through travel, story-driven quests, strategic battles, engaging mini-games, competitive events, and much more—transforming the game into a captivating midcore adventure with sophisticated mechanics.
Animations have always played a key part in creating the unique charm of Taonga, from diverse characters to adorable animals, ingenious workshops and beautiful effects. We use Spine to create our animations and breathe life into the game world.
We are looking for a creative and inspired 2D Animator to join our team in adding new content, features and events to Taonga and bringing delightful experiences to our players.
Responsibilities
- Creating dynamic, believable and aesthetically pleasing character animations in Spine;
- Pre-processing, slicing and exporting art for animations;
- Setting up animation projects in the editor;
- Exporting, naming and preparing assets for handover according to requirements and established conventions.
Our ideal candidate
- Has a genuine passion for playing and developing games;
- Understands and can apply main principles of character animation;
- Is an experienced user of Spine or any other animation software;
- Is able to adapt to the specified style and work within it;
- We require a portfolio or showreel of your work to apply for this position;
- The application process may include a test assignment.
